My favorite go-to smoothie is a healthy berry smoothie in the morning. It’s so smoothie rich and creamy in color and taste. In addition, I love adding berries to my smoothies because they are low in sugar, high in fiber, and a great source of protein.
Berry Smoothie Ingredients
On most days, I apply the #bewellsmoothie formula created by holistic nutritionist Kelly LeVeque. This healthy smoothie keeps me full for about 2-3 hrs until lunch. This smoothie includes 6 simple ingredients – berries, water or almond milk, greens, almond butter, ground flaxseeds, and organic hemp vanilla protein powder. Note: If you’re looking for a vegan protein power be sure to look at the ingredients list and ensure there is no whey protein listed. I have come across whey protein on products listed as vegan. Note: Whey comes from cow milk.

The Fab Four Smoothie is a formula to help you develop a blood sugar balancing meal replacement shake in any flavor with enough protein, fat, and fiber to keep you full. Many juice shops, grocery smoothie bars, and smoothie recipes are loaded with sugar, specifically fructose sugar from excess fruit. Fructose sugar stores as fat 20-30% faster than glucose. The #fab4smoothie limits fructose to 1/4 cup!

Easy Healthy Berry Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 handful of arugula or greens of your choice
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 1/4 cup raspberries + blueberries
- 1/2 cup water add more if needed
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until you reach your desired consistency.
