These new years black eyed peas are packed with nutrients, rich in flavor, and are thought to provide good luck for the new year. Either way, adding these tiny legumes to your diet more often may just benefit you.
Black eyed peas are a southern tradition. I’m from the midwest, born and raised Chicagoan. However, I do have some family from Lousiana and Arkansas. My mom didn’t make black eyed peas as much growing up. However, I remember my aunts, grandmother, my friend’s parents making them to bring in the new year. January 1, 2020, I decided to make my own new year’s black-eyed peas vegan style. Since it’s the beginning of the year I thought I would share some of my goals for the new year as well. Sharing my goals with others helps me to keep myself accountable to do what I say I will do for the year.
My Goals for 2020
- Continue growing my blog and email list. I will accomplish this by doing the following:
- Post 1 new video to my YouTube channel each week (Subscribe here to my channel)
- Share 2-3 blog post per week
- Create partnerships with food & wellness brands.
- Reach out to 10 brands per week
- Educate my audience about safer skincare and makeup.
- Share info with audience weekly on social media (if you would like to learn more about BeautyCounter click here)
- Meditate, connect with God, and work out consistently.
