Watching everything unfold over the past week has been heartbreaking, to say the least. I've had to take a break from social to process my feelings and thoughts.

I’m a proud black woman and the creator of food & wellness called a blog called Im-Worthy.com. In addition, I have a private Facebook group that I provide resources in an effort to help my community see the impact food has on our society, mind, and body.
--
I decided to call the blog "Im-Worthy" as a constant reminder that we are all worthy of respect, kindness, and self-love. When I started my wellness journey, I learned that my community, the black community was disproportionately affected by diabetes, high blood pressure, & others - which has recently been brought to the forefront with COVID-19 and systemic oppression of blacks. I've had the pleasure of chatting with many others about their wellness journey and I know that wellness looks different for everyone. Therefore, I decided to create a space of acceptance to all. This past week has shown me that I've got to do a better job of educating and I will.

Finally, I just want to express gratitude to all the protestors and those that came before me fighting for equality. We are very resilient people and we have been at the forefront of medicine, art, creating many genres of music, technology, & turning food into beautiful recipes that are replicated throughout the world.

I know that everyone has gone back to posting their normal content but the fight for equality will never END for us. It's been great to see many others sharing resources, joining the fight to end racism and learning about the black experience in this country. I will leave you with this - Knowledge is only power if you USE it. Be well. #blacklivesmatter

Looking for a quick, easy, & healthy snack? Introducing Buffalo Cauliflower Wings 2 ways (baked & fried). Make this flourless recipe with my homemade buffalo adobo sauce & garnish with cilantro or parsley. This recipe will hit the spot. LINK IN BIO for full recipe & homemade adobo sauce. For now, you can find the baked version below. ---- Ingredients

1 head cauliflower
1/4 cup grapeseed oil (for baking) or use oil of your choice
sea salt to taste
Homemade Adobo Sauce ---- Instructions

Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

1) large mixing bowl, combine the grapeseed oil, sea salt, and 1 cup water. Toss the cauliflower florets in the mixture and turn them out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet (leave space between the florets). 2)Add all of the water to the tray as well.
3)Bake the cauliflower for 20 to 30 minutes, shaking the tray occasionally so it bakes evenly. The water should steam the cauliflower and the grapeseed oil will give the florets a nice golden brown color around the edges.
4)While the cauliflower is baking, warm the Buffalo sauce in a saucepan over low heat. After the initial 20 to 30 minutes of baking, lightly baste the cauliflower with the sauce. Bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the sauce, has baked onto the cauliflower.
