Whipped Vegan Feta Cheese with Maple & Thyme

This whipped vegan feta cheese is salty, sweet, and herby.

Who doesn’t love a good dip? Right now, I want to ensure I am adding yummy dips & sauces to Im-Worthy.com. That’s easy to whip together, and everyone can enjoy. At the time of writing this blog post, it’s the beginning of summer 2021. Everyone is starting to gather again. I’m sure food will be at the center of those occasions. Well, that’s the way it is for me, my friends, and my family.

I’ve been making greek and Mediterranean vegan recipes to test for the blog. Like this delicious Mediterranean quinoa salad. I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of conventional feta but this vegan feta is pretty good. But I’m loving it with potatoes, salads, and pasta dishes.

My favorite brand of vegan feta is Follow Your Heart. 

What’s in this whipped feta

What I love most about this dip is its flexibility. You can easily substitute one ingredient for another. I’ve listed some ingredient substitutions down below in the recipe card. 

  • vegan feta
  • vegan yogurt
  • fresh garlic
  • maple syrup
  • thyme
  • olive oil
  • salt and black pepper

How to make this whipped vegan feta cheese

  1. Combine the vegan feta, vegan yogurt, garlic, olive oil, and thyme in a food processor and process until smooth, about 30 – 50 seconds. Season the whipped feta with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Scoop into a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup, and sprinkle with thyme and black pepper. Serve with sliced veggies, roasted potatoes, or chips for dipping. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz vegan feta
  • 1/2 cup plain vegan yogurt can sub for coconut yogurt, sour cream, or plain greek yogurt
  • 1 small garlic clove smashed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tsp fresh or dried thyme plus more for garnish
  • salt and black pepper, to taste plus more for topping
  • Maple syrup for drizzling can sub for honey

Instructions
 

  • Combine the vegan feta, vegan yogurt, garlic, olive oil, and thyme in a food processor and process until smooth, about 30 – 50 seconds. Season the whipped feta with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Scoop into a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup, and sprinkle with thyme and black pepper. Serve with sliced veggies, roasted potatoes, or chips for dipping. Enjoy!
