Easy Green Bean Recipe for Thanksgiving

This easy healthy green bean recipe is a perfect side dish for Thanksgiving or any occasion Add vegan butter, veggie broth, onions, garlic, and lemon. This recipe can easily be made into green bean casserole, stir fry, and soups.

  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 1 lbs fresh green beans
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 large clove of garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup veggie broth add more if needed
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon juiced


  • Melt the Miyokos butter in a skillet with a lid over medium-low heat, and cook and stir the red onion and garlic until translucent, about 5-6 minutes. 
  • Stir in the green beans, garlic, red bell pepper, and veggie broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over low heat until the green beans are tender about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Enjoy!!
